Considered by many as one of the most beautiful places in India, the Valley of Flowers tucked into the hills of the Garhwal Himalayas is a nature lover's dream come true.

During the months of mid-July and mid-August, innumerable flowers of various shapes, sizes, and hues adorn the valley creating a veritable multi-colored carpet.

The valley is home to over 300 Colorful species including Morinas, Himalayan Blue Poppy, Brahma Kamal, Potentilla, Aster, Lilies, etc.

British mountaineer Frank Smythe stumbled upon the Valley of Flowers in 1931. ‘In all my mountain wandering,’ he wrote, ‘I have not seen a more beautiful valley where the human spirit may find repose'.

It’s in the core zone of Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve. A colossal expanse of 87.5 sq km and myriad alpine flowers makes this place a colorful paradise. Perched at an altitude of 12070 feet above sea level, Bhyundar Valley is the home to this surreal place.

It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

    Itinerary

    Day 1 :

    Overnight at Rishikesh.
    (The trekkers can take a flight to Dehradun or Delhi and proceed to Rishikesh for an overnight stay.
    We will assist with the transfers (the cost of transfers is excluded while the cost of stay is included.

    Day 2:
    Scenic drive to Auli (245 kms | 7 - 8 hours) along River Alaknanda.
    Photo stops at Devprayag and Rudraprayag.
    Overnight at Auli.

    Day 3:
    A day hike to Gurson Bugyal (3-4 hours) for better acclimatization. Duration: 4 hrs | Altitude gain: 7,500 ft to 10,000 ft
    Post early breakfast proceed to Auli Top.
    A hike through the green forest of Oak and Pine trees.
    Cherish the Landscapes of Gurson (Alpine meadow).
    Enjoy the views of the wide range of Garhwal Himalayas like  Nandadevi, Hathi Parvat, Nilgiri, Dronagiri and many more.
    Have packed lunch and return to the resort.
    Enjoy the choice of activities OR free time in the evening.


    Day 4:
    Drive to Pulna via Govindghat (20 km | 40 mins).
    Begin trek to Ghangaria.
    Trek distance: 11 km | Trek Duration: 5-6 hours Altitude gain: 7,785 ft to 10,520 ft
    The trail is well-laid out with several trekkers and pilgrims frequenting the route.
    Overnight at Ghangaria.
     

    Day 5:
    Trek to the Valley of Flowers and back.
    Trek distance: 10 km | Trek Duration: 7 - 8 hours | Altitude gain: 10,520 ft to 12,000 ft.
    This is a rewarding trek, with flowers blooming on either sides of the trail. A dream destination, especially for
    photographers.
    Overnight at Ghangaria.

    Day 6:
    Trek to Hemkund and back.
    Trek distance: 6 km each way | Trek Duration: 8-9 hours | Altitude gain: 10,520 ft to 14,200 ft.
    Weaving its way up to Hemkund Sahib is a path of zigzags; a challenging climb rewarded by the gurudwara and serene lake at the summit.
    Overnight at Ghangaria.

    Day 7:
    Trek back from Ghangaria to Pulna
    Trek distance: 11 km | Trek Duration: 5-6 hours Altitude loss: 10,520 ft to 7,785 ft
    Drive from Pulna to Govindghat - Visit to Badrinath and Mana** - Auli
    Overnight at Auli.
    ** subject to weather conditions, trek speed of the group. The decision of the Trek Leader will be final.

    Day 8:
    Auli - Rishikesh drive (245 kms | 7 - 8 hours).
    Enjoy your return journey, while reminiscing the last few days in the mountains.
    Overnight at Rishikesh.

    Day 9:
    Have a good breakfast, and check-out of the hotel.
    Our tour ends here.
    Take your Flight / Train back home.

    • Accommodations on twin / double sharing basis in Deluxe hotels at Rishikesh and Auli.
    • Accommodation in the best available stay option at Ghangaria (which has running hot water (geyser) and free wifi (which is a luxury at this remote location).
    • Local transport : As per the itinerary by Chartered Tempo Traveler Vehicle.
    • All meal charges as mentioned in the itinerary (starting with dinner on day 1 and ending with breakfast on last day).
