  1. Book Early: Ladakh has a short travel season, and limited flight options mean airfares rise quickly. We recommend booking well in advance to avoid steep prices.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Leh (3505 m)
Arrive at Leh’s Kushok Bakula Airport. Transfer and check-in at your hotel. Rest and acclimatize.
Overnight in Leh.

Day 02: Shey, Thiksey, Hemis & Leh Local
Visit Hemis Monastery, the largest in Ladakh, followed by scenic Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace. Later, see Sindhu Ghat, the Hall of Fame, Shanti Stupa, and Leh Palace. Evening at local markets.
Overnight in Leh.

Day 03: Leh to Nubra via Khardung La (125 km / 5–6 hrs)
Drive across the world’s highest motorable road—Khardung La (5,550 m). Visit Diskit Monastery and its impressive Maitreya Buddha statue. Continue to Hunder for a walk in the sand dunes and optional double-humped Bactrian camel ride.
Overnight in Nubra.

Day 04: Excursion to Turtuk
Take a scenic drive to Turtuk—India’s last village on the Indo-Pak border, opened to tourists only recently. Explore its unique Balti culture and landscapes. Return to Nubra in the evening.

Day 05: Nubra to Pangong via Shyok (165 km / 5–6 hrs)
Drive along the spectacular Shyok River to reach Pangong Lake (4,500 m), a stunning high-altitude lake that stretches into China.
Overnight by Pangong Lake.

Day 06: Pangong to Leh via Chang La (160 km / 5–6 hrs)
Wake up to sunrise over Pangong. Drive back to Leh via Chang La (5,486 m), one of the highest motorable passes. Evening free for shopping or café hopping.
Overnight in Leh.

Day 07: Sham Valley to Lamayuru – Ule (170 km approx.)
Explore Sham Valley: Kali Mata Temple, Spituk Gompa, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, and the confluence of Indus and Zanskar. Visit Alchi Monastery and continue to Lamayuru with its moonscape terrain.
Overnight stay among apple orchards near Saspol (Ule).

Day 08: Rafting Day (15 km from Scorpoche to Nimmo – Grade III)
Enjoy a thrilling rafting session (2 hrs) through the Zanskar-Indus confluence region. Return and relax post-adventure.
Overnight in Leh.

Day 09: Departure
Transfer to Leh Airport for your flight back.
