Considered by many as one of the most beautiful places in India, the Valley of Flowers tucked into the hills of the Garhwal Himalayas is a nature lover's dream come true. During the months of July and August, innumerable flowers of various shapes, sizes, and hues adorn the valley creating a veritable multi-colored carpet. The valley is home to over 300 Colorful species including Marinas, Himalayan Blue Poppy, Brahma Kamal, Potentilla, Aster, Lilies, etc.
British mountaineer Frank Smythe stumbled upon the Valley of Flowers in 1931. ‘In all my mountain wandering,’ he wrote, ‘I have not seen a more beautiful valley where the human spirit may find repose. It’s in the core zone of Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve. A colossal expanse of 87.5 sq km and myriad alpine flowers make this place a colorful paradise. Perched at an altitude of 12070 feet above sea level, Bhyundar Valley is the home to this surreal place.
It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT DEHRADUN AIRPORT. OVERNIGHT AT SHIVPURI.
Arrival Dehradun. Assemble at Dehradun airport at 1300 hrs. Transfer to the hotel in Shivpuri. Evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Shivpuri. (Approximate distance/ Travel time : 33 km/ 1-1.5 hrs)
DAY 2: SHIVPURI TO AULI.
Day at leisure. Photo stop at Devprayag (confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi). Overnight at Auli. (Approximate distance / Travel time : 236 km / 9-10 hrs)
DAY 3: AULI TO GOVINDGHAT - PULNA - GHANGARIA.
Joshimath - Govindghat - Pulna - Ghangaria Overnight at Ghangaria. (Approximate distance / Travel time : 30 km / 60 mins (Drive).
Trek distance / time : 11 km / 6-7 hrs
DAY 4: VALLEY OF FLOWERS
Ghangaria - Valley of Flowers (12,000 ft.) - Ghangaria. Overnight at Ghangaria.
Trek distance / time : 10 kms / 7-8 hrs
DAY 5: HEMKUND.
Ghangaria - Hemkund (14,200 ft.) - Ghangaria.
Trek distance / time : 12 kms / 9-10 hrs.
Overnight at Ghangaria.
(As on day, the trek to Hemkund Trek is not allowed. Should the same be allowed, we would venture to Hemkund. Else, another day at Valley Of Flowers would be possible).
DAY 6: AULI
Ghangaria - Govindghat - Auli. Overnight at Auli
Trek distance / time : 11 km / 5-6 hrs
Distance/ Travel time : 33 km / 1.5 hrs Drive
DAY 7: AULI - SHIVPURI
Transfer to Shivpuri from Auli. Overnight at Shivpuri.
Trek distance / time : 3 kms / 3-4 hrs
DAY 8: DEHRADUN AIRPORT TRANSFER.
Transfer to Dehradun airport for departure flight back home.
