    Itinerary

    Day 1: On a Western Ghats Trail
    Our journey begins with a scenic drive from Coimbatore Airport to our Heritage Villa nestled in the lush Western Ghats. After a refreshing breakfast, we'll embark on an exhilarating trek through Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary, where we'll have the chance to spot endemic species like the Nilgiri Tahr and Indian Giant Squirrel. As evening falls, we'll enjoy a presentation on Western Ghats' biodiversity before retiring to our Heritage Villa near Aliyar Dam.

    Day 2: Bird Watching and Plantation Exploration
    We'll wake before dawn to the sounds of nature for an early morning bird walk, where we'll seek out endemic species such as the Malabar Trogon and White-bellied Treepie.
    Following breakfast, we'll depart for our next destination: a charming bungalow nestled in a tea estate. Built in 1928, this historic building once housed Colonial-era Tea Estate Managers, offering us a glimpse into the past.
    In the afternoon, we'll go on an exciting plantation drive. As we traverse the lush tea gardens, keep your eyes peeled for Wild Elephants and Gaur roaming freely in their natural environment. With a bit of luck, we might even catch a rare sighting of a leopard. Witnessing these magnificent creatures against the backdrop of rolling tea plantations promises to be a thrilling highlight of our journey.
    As night falls, we'll retire to our cozy bungalow in the Valparai tea estate, where we'll spend the night surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the Western Ghats.

    Day 3: Plantation Drives and Wildlife Trails
    Start your day with a captivating plantation drive, surrounded by lush greenery and panoramic views. As you meander through the tea estate in Valparai, keep an eye out for wildlife such as the Nilgiri Langur, Malabar Giant Squirrel, and the occasional Indian Gaur. You might even spot a few birds like the Grey-headed Bulbul, Malabar Parakeet, or the majestic Crested Serpent Eagle soaring overhead. Explore the verdant thickets in search of the elusive lion-tailed macaque. In the evening, take another plantation drive, followed by a barbecue dinner and an engaging wildlife documentary. Overnight stay in a bungalow at the tea estate of Valparai.

    Day 4: Nature Walks and Birdwatching Trails in Hornbill Land
    Rise early and enjoy a fresh breakfast before checking out. Journey to Hornbill Land, descending into a stunning valley where the calls of the hornbills will lead you to their presence. Spend the day observing and marveling at these majestic birds in their natural habitat. Overnight stay at another bungalow in the tea estate in the Valparai region.

    Day 5: Birdwatching Trails & Orchidarium
    As morning dawns, the calls of the hornbills invite us to another exciting birdwatching session. Observe these magnificent birds in their natural setting, capturing their vibrant plumage and graceful flight. After breakfast, check out and embark on a visit to the NCF Information Centre and the Attaikati Info Centre. Discover the Orchidarium, home to over 100 stunning orchid species. After lunch, we'll depart for Coimbatore Airport, concluding our journey through the Western Ghats.

    What is included in the tour

    • Non-AC vehicle transportation between Coimbatore and Valparai (round trip).
    • All food charges for the duration of the eco-tour (as specified in the itinerary).
    • Shared accommodation for 4 nights (Note: Tea bungalows have 3 to 4 bedrooms, so accommodation will be shared).
    • Internal Transport for 5 days as per the itinerary.
    • Plantation safari drives.
    • Entry fees, guide fees, and permit charges.

    What is NOT included in the tour

    • Any Travel to & from Coimbatore.
    • Tips to drivers, guides and hotel staff.
    • Mineral water / cold drinks during the ​journey or at the campsite.
