Day 1: Arrival at Rishikesh
Distance: Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun) to Rishikesh (~20 km), Delhi Airport to Rishikesh (~240 km)
Altitude: Rishikesh (~370 m / 1,214 ft)
Arrive at Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun) or Delhi Airport and transfer to Rishikesh. Enjoy a peaceful evening in this spiritual town, known for its ashrams and the sacred Ganges River. Rishikesh provides a tranquil start to your Himalayan journey.
Note: Travelers can take a flight to Dehradun or Delhi and proceed to Rishikesh for an overnight stay. We will assist with transfers (cost is excluded; please get in touch with us for more details).
Day 2: Rishikesh to Guptkashi
Distance: Rishikesh to Guptkashi (~200 km, 7-8 hours)
Altitude: Guptkashi (~1,319 m / 4,327 ft)
Travel from Rishikesh to Guptkashi, passing through scenic landscapes and river confluences. The drive offers stunning views of the Garhwal Himalayas and provides a relaxing evening in preparation for the upcoming trek to Kedarnath.
Day 3: Trek to Kedarnath
Distance: Guptkashi to Gaurikund (~30 km, 1-2 hours)
Trek: Gaurikund to Kedarnath (~16 km, 6-8 hours)
Altitude: Gaurikund (~1,982 m / 6,503 ft), Kedarnath (~3,584 m / 11,762 ft)
Begin your trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath, covering a distance of 16 km. The trek offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Reach Kedarnath and visit the ancient temple, spending the night in this serene and sacred location.
Note: The stay at Kedarnath will be in multi-sharing (3-4 in a room) basic rooms.
Day 4: Return from Kedarnath and Drive to Chopta
Trek: Kedarnath to Gaurikund (~16 km, 4-6 hours)
Drive: Gaurikund to Chopta (~55 km, 2-3 hours)
Altitude: Chopta (~2,709 m / 8,891 ft)
Trek back from Kedarnath to Gaurikund in the morning, then drive to Chopta. This picturesque meadow offers stunning Himalayan views and a peaceful retreat for the night.
Day 5: Drive to Auli and Trek to Gurson Bugyal
Distance: Chopta to Auli (~135 km, 5-6 hours)
Trek: Auli to Gurson Bugyal (~3 km one-way, 1.5-2 hours one-way)
Altitude: Auli (~2,800 m / 9,186 ft), Gurson Bugyal (~3,000 m / 9,843 ft)
Drive from Chopta to Auli, a popular destination known for its skiing and scenic beauty. In Auli, embark on a trek to Gurson Bugyal, an alpine meadow with panoramic views of Nanda Devi. Return to Auli for an overnight stay.
Note: We will be taking a chairlift from Auli Top, if operational. The charges for the same are included in the Tour Cost.
Day 6: Auli to Badrinath, Hike to Vasudhara Waterfall, and Return to Auli
Distance: Auli to Badrinath (~55 km, 2 hours)
Hike: Mana Village to Vasudhara Waterfall (~6 km one-way, 2-3 hours one-way)
Drive: Return to Auli (~55 km, 2 hours)
Altitude: Badrinath (~3,133 m / 10,279 ft), Vasudhara Waterfall (~3,300 m / 10,827 ft)
Drive to Badrinath and visit the sacred Badrinath Temple. After darshan at Badrinath, drive to Mana village and hike to Vasudhara Waterfall, a beautiful natural site. Return to Auli for the night, enjoying the tranquil environment and scenic views.
Day 7: Drive to Rishikesh
Distance: Auli to Rishikesh (~270 km, 8-9 hours)
Altitude: Rishikesh (~370 m / 1,214 ft)
Depart from Auli and drive back to Rishikesh. This long drive offers a final opportunity to appreciate the stunning Himalayan scenery. Spend a relaxing evening in Rishikesh, exploring more of the town if time permits.
Note: Time and interest permitting, we will visit Rishikesh Ghat for Ganga Arti.
Day 8: Departure
Distance: Rishikesh to Jolly Grant Airport (~20 km)
Altitude: Jolly Grant Airport (~600 m / 1,969 ft)
Transfer from Rishikesh to Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun) for your flight. Reflect on your Himalayan journey and the memorable experiences you've had exploring the sacred and scenic beauty of the region.
Note: The trekkers can take a flight from Dehradun or Delhi. We will assist with the transfers (cost is excluded; please get in touch with us for more details).
What is included in the tour
1. Accommodations:
- Twin/double sharing basis in deluxe hotels at Rishikesh and Auli.
- One of the better stay options Guptkashi. Basic (but amongst the best available) stay at Kedarnath**.
- Except at Kedarnath, accommodations are on twin/double sharing basis. At Kedarnath, it will be multi-sharing (3-4 travelers in a room).
2. Local Transport:
- As per the itinerary, by a chartered Non AC Tempo Traveler vehicle.
3. Meals:
- All meal charges as mentioned in the itinerary (starting with dinner on Day 1 and ending with breakfast on Day 8).
4. Additional Services:
- Services of a Tour Leader from Foliage Outdoors / Infinite Journeys.
- Services of a local guide during the trek.
- Portage up to 5 kg per person during the trek route.
