Camp Details

Day 1
Departure to Delhi by 2781 Swarnajayanti Exp. at 1615 hrs.
Day 2
Arrival at Delhi at 1705 hrs. Proceed to Haridwar at night by A/C train.
Day 3
Reach Haridwar early morning. Rest and freshen up. Proceed to Gangotri by Sumo after breakfast. Lunch en route. Reach Gangotri in the evening.
Day 4
Trek from Gangotri to Chidbasa ~ 10 kms. Stay in tents at Chidbasa.
Day 5
Trek from Chidbasa to Gomukh ~ 6 kms. Stay in tents at Gomukh.
Day 6
Trek from Gomukh to Tapovan ~ 4 kms. (6 hrs) Stay in tents at Tapovan.
Day 7
Trek back from Tapovan to Gomukh. Stay in tents at Gomukh.
Day 8
Trek from Gomukh to Chidbasa. Stay in tents at Chidbasa.
Day 9
Spare day. Stay in tents at Chidbasa.
Day 10
Trek from Chidbasa to Gangotri. Proceed to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi
Day 11
Leave for Haridwar from Uttarkashi. Overnight journey by train 2206 to Delhi by 0040 hrs.
Day 12
Arrival at Delhi 0505 hrs. Proceed to Pune at 0855 hrs.
Day 13
Arrival at Pune by 1110 hrs.

About Destination

This is one of the most sought after trek in Garhwal Himalayas. Visit the very place of origin of pious Ganga River - Gomukh. The Top camp at Tapovan offers you rarest of the sites in Himalayas – View of 8 different peaks viz. Bhagirathi I, II, III, Kharjkund, Mt. Shivling, Meru Parvat, Chaturangi, Sudarshan, Bhrugupanth.
Many other peaks with full view of Gangotri Glacier is also a highlight of this trek.
Recommended for avid trekkers.
The trek comprises of daily trekking of about 5- 10 kms. Rated as ‘moderate’ by Himalayan standards, this is the trek for avid trekkers.

Charges Include : - Travel from Pune – Delhi - Pune by train (Non Ac 3 tire Sleeper class). - Delhi – Haridwar – Delhi by 3 A/C. - Surface transport from Haridwar to Gangotri and back by Sumo Jeeep. - All food charges (breakfast, lunch & dinner) Ex - Delhi. - Accommodation in tents at all places and during trek.at campsite on multiple sharing basis. Separate accommodation for boys and girls. - Government Service Tax.
