The main cause of altitude sickness is going too high too quickly. Given enough time, your body will adapt to the decrease in oxygen at a specific altitude. This process is known as acclimatization. Good acclimatization is a must to minimize the chances of High Altitude Sickness. A trek is designed in such a way that the ascent and the night stay is not too high than that of previous night. Climb high and sleep low, staying properly hydrated, banning smoking and alcohol at Camps intake are some of "must dos" that we follow at all the Treks. If any problem occurs, scaling down the altitude is the most effecting solution.
