Calling all Outdoor Enthusiasts to be a part of Foliage Outdoors for exciting careers in Wildlife / Trekking / Adventure Activities.

The selected candidates are guaranteed opportunities of visiting the most beautiful destination of India.

Applications are invited for following positions from male as well as female candidates.

Students may also apply for "trainee field leaders" in Wildlife / Trekking / Adventure / Administration on either full time / part time (project basis).

Researchers / students are welcome to apply on project basis for all the positions mentioned. The available projects can be chosen as per the time availability of the researchers / students. Working Professionals with expertise / interest in any aspect of wildlife / trekking / adventure / administration may also apply on project basis.

Job Profile

The selected candidates are expected to lead / assist in wildlife tours / trekking / adventure tours. The candidates are expected to impart the knowledge that they possess about nature to interested participants in easy and enjoyable manner yet ensuring its technical correctness. The grasp and depth of knowledge should enable the candidates to answer the queries of the participants to their satisfaction.

Candidates opting for "Full Time Option" will be required to lead / assist the tours as and when required by the organization, throughout the year. They will also be required to be available at office for all the administrative work prior to tour and post tour.

Candidates opting for "Part Time / Project Based Option" will be required to contribute to tours where their specific skills can be used by the organization (eg: excellent birdwatcher will be an asset to the organization for Bharatpur Camp). The duration of each project will range from 4 days to 14 days. Remuneration will be project based.

Training

All the candidates applying for the above mentioned posts will be given due training by Foliage Outdoors experts as well as experts from various fields. Theoretical as well as on-field training will be imparted to convert candidates' "field of interest" to the "field of expertise".

Students with interest in the field, looking to make a career in the field in long run are welcome to apply.

The applicant must have "must traits" as mentioned below. It would be desirable that the applicants have any one / some of the "desirable traits" as mentioned below.

"MUST" traits :

"Eco Traits": Must enjoy being in nature. Should have love for wildlife / adventure / trekking activities. An explorer...who is always on the lookout to explore the nature-world.

"People Traits": Must enjoy the company of (nature interested) people. Should not only enjoy being in nature but should also have a zeal to show the nature around to people. Must believe in "sharing the happiness of being in nature, with people". This being extremely important as the organization has a tourism base / background.

"DESIRABLE traits" :

- Field Leaders (Wildlife)
Must have one (or more) of the following as the field of expertise / interest. Botany / zoology / birdwatching / butterflies / insects / reptiles / marine life.

- Field Leaders (Trekking)
Must have been part of treks / expeditions in Himalayas. Should have basic knowledge of all the associated aspects of mountaineering. Should be capable of understanding the problems that may occur due to high altitude sickness (or any other associated possible exigencies) and should be bold enough to react to such situations with composure.
Students who have successfully completed Basic / Advanced course in Mountaineering will be preferred.

- Field Leaders (Adventure)
Must have a part of various adventure activities like White Water Rafting / Hot Air Ballooning / Parasailing / Paragliding / Skiing etc. Should have basic understanding of risk factors associated with various adventure activities and should not be compromising on highest standard of safety that Foliage Outdoors follows for such adventure activities.

- Field Administrators
Will be incharge of overall administration for any wildlife tour / trek / adventure tour. Will be a very important link between the Field Leaders (Wildlife / Trekking / Adventure) and participants. Will also be required to coordinate with suppliers (hoteliers / transporters / government authorities). Should be a livewire and keep people involved / entertained in all the activities, all the time.
